One of the most famous names that come to our mind when it comes to the world of international fashion is Karl Lagerfeld, the artistic director for fashion brand Chanel has passed away after suffering from ill health at the age of 85.
His health deteriorated in Paris during Chanel’s couture show when his so badly that he couldn’t even take a bow at the end of the show. Soon, he was admitted to a hospital, where he breathed his last.
Karl Lagerfeld’s cat named Choupette, who is the most popular cat in fashion, could also become the richest cats on the planet too.
“Choupette is a rich girl,” he had mentioned once on a TV show indirectly hinting at the fact that he has written her into his will. “She has her own fortune,” he further added. She had earned at least three million euros ($3.4 million) with him by doing advertisements for a German car firm and a Japanese cosmetics brand.
Just so you didn’t know, Choupette has 175,000 followers on social media. She happens to have surpassed all the luxury in her life and unlike other cats, she eats at a table. “She is like a human being, only with an extra quality - silence,” Lagerfeld had quipped.
“Choupette is the centre of my world,” he had once agreed. She has never done advertisements for cat food. Why? Because “She is too sophisticated for that,” he had said.
The spoiled eight-year-old cat was said to be “kidnapped” by Karl Lagerfeld in 2011 from his young friend and male model Baptiste Giabiconi. And now, she could just be about to inherit a slice of his estimated $200-million (176-million-euro) fortune.
Well, now after acknowledging the life of this feline, we can just hope that in another life we would rather want to be like Choupette, and without any struggle, we’d be the owner of $200 million dollars.
