What actually makes diet soda popular is the attracting advertisement of it containing no sugar and zero calories and is a good option for those on the motive of losing weight. But, that is not the actual case. While it does away with the sugar content (which runs approximately 400 calories in a regular soda can), it replaces it with artificial sugar like aspartame, saccharin, and sucralose. In the longer run, it can lead to confuse your taste buds and resist you from actually recognizing the sugar content in naturally sweet substances and fruits. They also trigger insulin resistance and can also aid to weight gaining. And not to forget, there is no nutritional value to it so drinking this can be considered worse than a glass of water.


According to a recent study published in the Stroke, women over the age of 50 were more likely to fall prey to the malice of heart diseases and stroke if they had more than one drink a day. It also indicated to the statistics of early death for women. So, it is best that you keep away from them and resist such damage to your body.
