No sooner you open the Ola app and you put your location and boom - the prices are ruthless and exorbitant! After Ola auto was featured on the app, people went crazy because the prices were quite reasonable and it was available mostly every time.
Now, Ola autos have started taking on the streets of the United Kingdom. The taxi-app recently launched a fleet of Bajaj and Piaggio auto rickshaws in Liverpool with an ambition to overtake Uber as the region’s top ride-hailing firm.
The happy people around the city saw painted tuk-tuks with drivers wearing the quintessential neon green jackets (the signature color of Ola) taking people around. They actually gave free rides to people to commemorate the entry in the region. Not just that, they’re also offering 50% discount to customers who download the app before the end of April.
“I have been driving passengers around the city today and have really enjoyed the chance to discuss the challenges that the community faces and how we can help with our new technology," Managing Director of Ola UK Ben Legg told Financial Express. “We are celebrating bringing more travel and employment choices to Liverpudlians with our ride-hailing app with the help of the community choir,” he added.
Coming to when it took its first step, Ola was first launched in Cardiff, the UK in August 2018, followed by a launch in Bristol in October and then in Bath and Exeter in November. The Liverpool launch is the fifth for Ola UK and also the beginning of its expansion in the North of England this year.
Now, we can proudly come up with this statement that the “ firangis” are copying us gradually and now we have one good reason to boast.
