The major part of the race happens along the coast, so runners enjoy breath-taking views of the Norwegian Sea as well as the snow-capped peaks.
BMW Berlin Marathon, Germany
This marathon commences and stops at the Brandenburg Gate takes runners in a large loop around the city. This is so far one of the best marathons where you get to experience a slice of history as marathoners will pass the iconic Reichstag, Berlin Cathedral, Tiergarten and Potsdamer Platz, to name a few.
Marathon du Medoc (France)
Basically, a wine and food festival taking the form of a marathon! The runway will take you through the vineyards of the Médoc in Gironde. It takes place in the Southwest of France near Bordeaux; food stands and wine tasting stalls marks the main of this event. Nibbles offered include pasta, oysters, cheese, steaks, fruits, and the region's famous wines to wash down everything.
The Hong Kong Marathon (Hong Kong)
One of the biggest sporting events in the country with over 70,000 runners from 90 countries participating in it. This iconic race unwinds against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s breathtaking skyline and harbour. The Hong Kong Marathon has been awarded Gold Label status since the year 2016 and with total prize money of US$300,000, also, it is one of Asia's most talked about marathons.
