Recently, there are many sizzling argan oils and the buzz about how it leaves your hair look shiny, which are valid, though but not completely. Over the years, this argan oil serum effectively nixes frizz and leaves hair feeling ridiculously silky and smooth. But if you don't use your argan hair oil in the right way, it may actually dry your hair. If something comes up with its good, then it has its effects as well. If you are using argan oil, it is high time to see how and when you should use it.
But before that let us read some expert advice.
"The molecules in argan oil are too large to penetrate your hair cuticle," says celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend, who has worked with stars like Natalie Portman and Christina Aguilera. "Since it can't penetrate, it actually just sits on top of your hair." This can create the problem if you're using it when your wet hair, or if you're using it daily. Applying the oil to towel dry strands of your hair before drying will leave your hair feeling smooth for a few minutes, but in the long run, it can actually dry out your hair. "The argan oil winds up creating a barrier on top of your hair, which blocks out any moisturizer trying to get in," Townsend says.
But before knowing the complete story of argon oil doesn’t even think to toss it out of the window. If you know how it can show its real magic on your hair, then it can still be an effective tool for kissing frizz goodbye. Only use one to two sprays of argon oil on dry hair to seal in the moisture you've already put into it (like a leave-in conditioner).
This technique of applying the oil will leave your hair-quenching products to stay put while still flattening frizz and your hair won't become bone-dry over time. And you can continue your love affair with the argon oil, we won’t disclose it, ssshhhh!
