The ocean liner RMS Titanic collided with an iceberg on April 14th in 1912. The collision was so great that it becomes the reason for the Titanic to sink in the freezing cold water. The big and historical ship sink the following day and more than 1,500 people lose their life. The incident was one of the most disastrous one in history.

Time It Took to sink

The time this great ship took, without the expectation is about 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink completely after the collision with that huge iceberg.


The Titanic could have potentially been saved. A 30-second delay on the ship's communication lines resulted in it being too late for the captain to change the route.


It is estimated that about dozen of couples were celebrating their honeymoon in Titanic.


The Japanese survivor, Masabumi Hosono who managed to save his life in the accident was subjected after returning to public condemnation, as he came alive from the horrifying accident. The Japanese considered him as a coward for not dying with his poor passengers.

To survive in the freezing water of the ocean, the Titanic’s head baker, Charles Joughin, drank enough alcohol that he survived till 2 hours at sea before being rescued.

As depicted in the movie, it is proven fact that the ship’s musicians continued to play their instruments for hours until the ship completely sank.
