We all grew up believing this fact that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. And exactly the same applies to women as well, alright? The researchers from Drexel University in Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania have concluded a study to come to a conclusion that women who have eaten properly are much more interested in romance compared to those who remain hungry.
The study was carried out in quite a nice way. A group of average-weight female students was asked to stay on an eight-hour fast and then, were shown a number of different photographs inside an MRI scanner.
Interestingly, the reaction of these women, who have been starving for the last eight hours, was the same to the neutral images (like a stapler, bowling bowl, and tree) and romantic photographs of couples holding hands, cuddling and having a date, etc.
Next, the women were given a chocolate shake which had around 500 calories and the same experiment was repeated again. Astonishingly, the participants showed a stronger reaction to romantic photographs after being full.
The researchers concluded that a hungry woman’s major focus is on food and would put attention to other needs like sex or romance only when once she had a meal and is full. The results of this research stand opposite to findings of another study which suggests people are more responsive to such aspects such as food, money, and drugs when hungry.
Also, another research is done on this subject also says that eating a dessert on a date increases the chances of romance. What could be the possible reason behind? Well, eating something sweet enhances the level of dopamine in the brain, a neurotransmitter connected with passionate, romantic love. Henceforth, make sure that your girlfriend is never hungry and you make her full if you’re expecting a good romantic day with her.
