The report goes back to October, where it fetched the news that Captain Marvel star Brie Larson had signed on to make seven movies with Marvel Studios, and while the actress herself was quick to not agree with the claim, it seems that Disney may have such a deal lined up for the Oscar-winner after all.

Quoting THR as their source, ComicBookMovie.com reports says that Larson has signed a seven-picture deal that will see her playing the role of Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and five other films. The report also adds that the actress is being paid $5 million for Carol’s solo movie alone – a figure that exceeds with ease the amount earned by Chadwick Boseman for Black Panther ($2 million) and stands at ten times Robert Downey Jr.’s fee for Iron Man ($500,000).

With such an event, Marvel Studios has a lot of believe vested in Larson and the heroine she plays, and given the current gaga around Captain Marvel, their trust may not be altered. One box office projection from earlier this month, for example, had the movie’s domestic opening weekend haul reaching at $160 million, beating out the graphs of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok over the same period. Moreover, Captain Marvel has so far performed well in its pre-sales, has fetched a very positive response from its early screenings, and has already made a place on the ‘Most Anticipated Films of 2019’ lists of various polls and publications.

Carol’s MCU debut has already lived up to the hype when Captain Marvel hit theaters on March 8th, 2019, and now she’s all set to join her superhero peers in Avengers: Endgame on April 26th. Now we’ll just have to wait and see what Marvel Studios has in it’s hand for the franchise’s newest arrival.
