Smartphone giant Honor has launched its new handset in Russia. The Honor 8S is an entry-level handset that has been introduced in Blue, Black and Gold colors.
The price of this phone is 8,490 rubles, which is about 9,200 rupees. It has been made available for sale in Russia. It is not known when it will be launched globally.
The phone sports a 19:9 aspect ratio 5.71-inch HD + display. This phone is equipped with 2 GHz quad-core mediaTech helio A22 chipset and 2 GB RAM. It has the IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU. The budget variant comes with 32GB of internal storage which can be extended by 512 GB via microSD card. This phone runs Android 9 Pie based on EMUI 9.0.
For shutterbugs, the phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera which comes with LED flash and f / 1.8 aperture. At the same time, it also has a 5-megapixel front camera for selfie. For connectivity, the phone has many features including Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, A-GPS. Under the hood, it has a 3020 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is not present on the phone, but it has a Face Unlocking System.
Interestingly, the smartphone resembles the Huawei Y5 2019, which was recently launched. Both smartphones have a similar display and the cameras are the same. The Huawei Y5 2019 MediaTek runs on the Helio A22 processor, while the Honor 8S MediaTek runs on Helio P Chipset. In addition, battery backup and RAM and ROM are quite similar in nature.
