In the first Semi-Final of the UEFA Champions League, Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Ajax Amsterdam into the newly inaugurated Tottenham Hotspur stadium. On Tuesday night, Spurs will look forward to continuing their dream run. If they manage to enter the Finals, this will be their first encounter with the last hurdle in the road to glory.

However, Ajax reached this stage of the competition for the first time since 1997. They will be looking to emulate Louis Van Gaal’s young side of 1995 which won the trophy against all odds.

Tottenham are coming off a 1-0 defeat in the Premier League. They conceded their first goal in the new stadium and dropped points. Despite this looking like a bad omen, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino might not be too worried about their clash. Spurs dramatic qualification came in unusual circumstance after a 93-minute goal by City was ruled out by the Video Assistance Referee.

Sergio Aguero Kun was caught off-side. However, even without the English Star Footballer Harry Kane, they have put on an amazing performance. Lucas Moura, Christian Eriksen, and Heung-min Son have contributed to the goals in the meantime. Spurs have won both of their previous matches with Ajax. They both came in a two-legged first round fixture of the Cup Winner’s Cup in 1981.
