When we used to watch Ramayana in our childhood days then the heroic characters like Ram, Lakshmana, and Hanuman used to inspire us to become like them. But when we grew up we understood that when everything was chaos only one person in the story had his life sorted. Things were happening all around him, but he was busy sleeping and such a deep sleep that none of the nothing could wake him up. And it is not like when he used to get up and go for some war, or do any work but for the number of days left before he sleeps again he ate food only.
He used to eat so much that he would not need food for another six months that he sleeps. This is a life that most of the youngsters dream of and it makes then envious of the life of Kumbhakarna. But they also find Kumbhakarna their role model, as nothing more is needed in one’s life if they are getting proper sleep and proper food. When the time came he even fought beside his brother Ravana and died in the battle so it was not like he forgot about his responsibilities while being lazy. Kumbhakarna was one of the coolest characters in Ramayana, and most of the youngsters would agree to that.
