They were exposed to injuries as Henderson went down for a few minutes. Anfield threw spirit in his heart as he stood back up to complete the unfinished business.

Later, the heart of Liverpool went down as Andrew Robertson went down in a tough challenge. Then came the “Flying Dutchman” Georginio Wijnaldum. Within minutes of entering the game, He made the difference, the difference which was needed, the difference that takes Liverpool to Madrid. He scored two goals within the time span of five minutes.

The best footballer in the world might have been on the pitch. However, a 20-year-old, born and bred in Liverpool reflected genius instincts. It was quirky and cheeky play from Trent Alexander Arnold that assured Liverpool’s ticket to Madrid.

Furthermore, Liverpool FC tweeted that this was not a game that deserved a man of the match. Everybody stepped up.
