The Champions League hopes were reincarnated for AS Roma. They dramatically defeated the Serie A Champions. Late Goals from Alessandro Florenzi and Edin Dzeko registered their win.

The Turin’s side replaced their traditional stripes after 116 years with the black-and-white halved stripes. This win has left Roma with 62 points. They are behind AC Milan in the sixth position. They still have two games to play.

Roma will need a top-four finish to qualify for the Champions League. Roma are three points behind Atalanta and one ahead of Inter Milan. Milan however, has a game in hand.

Nevertheless, they wore their new strip despite many fans objecting to the decision on social media. This new design has been confirmed by the club shortly before kickoff. This will be their new home shirt for the next season. It also features a pink stripe between the two halves.

Roma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante made Amazing early saves to deny Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala. In addition to that, Lorenzo Pellegrini hit the bar for the home side. Juve also hit the woodwork when Mirante somehow turned Dybala’s drive onto the post before halftime.

However, Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini lost possession in his own half. Florenzi finished off a quick exchange of passes by gently chipping the ball over Wojciech Szczesny in the 79th minute.

Dzeko then converted a counter-attack in stoppage time to hand Juve their third league defeat of the season. “We enjoyed great supremacy in the first half and we should have created more chances,” said Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.
