We all have friends in our life who are there for us through thick and thin. We always turn up to them when we need someone to laugh with or talk with. We maintain a special bonding with these friends because no one can understand us better the way they do. The reason that we have such a good understanding with them make us think about taking the friendship to the next level, maybe because we like to spend time with them and thus make efforts to spend some more quality time with them. However, things do not always turn your way when you try to do so.

Consider this little instance. So there were 2 very good friends in my class in college. They were always seen together in college. So they decide that they would work for a subject assignment together as they had a very good understanding. However, things turned pretty ugly. There were disagreements on every single thing which eventually affected their friendship.

Thus, the fact that you should keep your personal life and professional life separately fits perfectly in real life. It is not necessary that if you are good friends with someone you would also be good work partners. It is thus better that you never make your friends your work partners.

The first reason for it is that they are well aware of your secrets and personal life which they could use against you in professional life. Secondly, if you have a good personal understanding with someone does not mean you would also have similar professional understanding too and if that happens it can ruin your personal bonding with them and you would lose your friend forever.

So as they say keep your personal and professional life distinct.
