We live in a society where no matter how hard you work for something if the results are not that good then no one cares about your hard work. Is it right to ignore all of your hard work just for the sake of results? Even if people have seen you work hard for it, they just think that all of it goes in vain if they haven’t achieved anything with it. Let us take an example, a guy studies day and night for months for his exam and people did notice that he studied a lot. When the results came, he scored very low and the only thing people would remember now is that he scored low.
They would be criticizing that he must not have prepared well as he isn’t interested in studies at all. But if the same guy would have scored good marks then the phrase would have changed to “He was always a brilliant student”, “He studied hard for his exams” and many more appreciation phrases that you do not even know about. That is a big flaw of this society, and most of the people think like that. Instead of seeing the hard work they see the results and many of the people lose their hope because of that only. If there was someone who would have appreciated them for the hard work even with the poor performance, then they would have been sure of the fact that hard work does matter.
But if they are getting no appreciation or the support then they are probably going to lose their faith in working hard and instead they would focus on the ways to obtain the results. Because of this, some of the students start cheating as they know that if they get good marks then everyone is going to appreciate them even if they have studied nothing. The same goes for the office work, where you do all the hard work and someone else takes away all the credit as you were not intentionally showing them that you are working. This is the mentality of the people in our society and it really needs to change or people would stop doing their work with full dedication.
