World Cup is here, and all of the fans are really excited for it. The Indian fans have been waiting for a win since the 2011 World Cup, and now in 2019 we are playing with a new captain and the hopes are high. M S Dhoni, as the skipper and batsman got us the trophy in the year 2011 and we are really eager to see how the team performs with the captaincy of Kohli and the guidance of Dhoni. The team would be playing the warm up games before the start of the world cup and that is with New Zealand on 25th of May, and with Bangladesh on 28th of May.
While the team is all set to head to England, captain Virat Kohli feels that this would be the most challenging World Cup for him. He said, “It is the most challenging World Cup, any team can upset any team. Team will have to adapt very quickly. We expect all kind of scores in the World Cup, but there would be few high scoring games looking at the predictions" While the captain feels this, the coach of the team that is Ravi Shastri said that if the team plays up to the potential then the World Cup would be here with us.
He added, “The pitches might be flat, in England overhead conditions will matter. If you go to London, it will. You have to be prepared to be flexible. This is an experienced unit, we have accomplished. Each one compliments each other.” As Kohli is the most reliable batsman from the team so we are having a lot of expectations from his captaincy as well as batting. Kohli said that the team will have to be prepared for the World Cup at the best of their abilities, and they shouldn’t think about any of the opposition. Let us hope the team does well, and brings the Cup home, and we cheer throughout the World Cup session.
