Taking selfies seems to be one of the easiest ways to capture moments and also the millennials favorite pass time, we all have our very own signature sides, angles and even poses. Some like taking selfies from the above and others prefer a more smug look from the front. Similarly, a lot of people like smiling naturally rather than posing in a really artificial manner, many also hate that selfie poses fingers made in the shape of V stands for victory.
According to a new study published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior, the way you click your photos can actually throw some light on your personality. To conduct the research, 123 people who usually clicked regular selfies were asked to take a personality test.
Then the researchers analyzed certain aspects of the photographs including how the participants took the photo, how did they pose and what was the location. In total, there were 13 cues to be evaluated. Ultimately, 107 students used these cues to interpret the personality of the selfie-takers. Here are the results:
1. Duck Face
If you are making a duck face in most of your selfies, we may have some bad news for you. It could suggest that you are emotionally unstable and even “neurotic” to some extent.
2. A smiling selfie
If you only love smiling and/or laughing, when it comes to taking selfies, perhaps you are open to new experiences. You love to take life as it comes and embraces it the way it is.
3. Tongue out
Is it often like you stick your tongue out while posing for a selfie? According to the research, this actually means that you are fun loving, full of life and even a little goofy. However, this might also suggest that you are not that comfortable in front of the camera.
4. Fitness selfies
If you have the habit of clicking yourself after a workout through a series of selfies, people may perceive you as an attention seeker but it could actually mean that you really focused in your lifestyle and love to grow.
