From few months, Xioami has been in the news, but for a reason of concern shown by the users like their phones are displaying ‘Ads’ in the MIUI. Anyhow, things seem to get settled down after Xioami has assured that Advertisements would be made optional. But, it seems that another Chinese smartphone manufacturing company has followed the path of Xioami.
It’s none other than Huawei, the Chinese company who is facing the heat of the US government and also it is getting ready to see the alternative for Android. Some of the Huawei users reported that there are ads which are being displayed over the lock screen and were wondering how Huawei is displaying ads without their permission.
On Twitter, many users shared the pictures of the ads being displayed on their lock screen. There were also reports observed in ‘Android police’ about the ads without the user’s consent. In the screenshots posted by many of the users, ‘Booking.com’ advertisement was seen mostly. Ads were seen in Huawei P20, P20 Pro which released last year and also the latest P30 Pro, P20 Lite and Honor 10 devices.
It is observed that the ads are visible for the whose who are having the pre-installed wallpapers of the landscape background. It seems the ads are not limited to one particular country as users across different locations such as the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, South Africa are getting the ads on the lock screen. So far, Huawei did not respond on it officially, anyhow if you are having a Huawei phone and do not want to see those ads, it is better not to use the pre-installed wallpapers.
