After the “#MeToo” moment, which allowed women a free hand in getting open about sexual harassment happened towards them, many Bollywood celebrities started to share their concerns in public. One such incident was shared by Bollywood actress ‘Tanushree Datta’ who accused against veteran actor Nana Patekar.
There was also a case filed against about sexual harassment based on her allegations on him. But, Mumbai police has declined to raise a complaint upon Nana Patekar linked on an incident ten years back on the sets of ‘Horn OK Please. As per Tanushree’s claims, Nana Patekar has misbehaved with her on the sets and complained about the same. But, later on as per the “B Summary” report from the Mumbai police stating there was no proper evidence to continue the investigation and the evidence also are not serving strong enough to prove Nana Patekar a guilty.
Tanushree’s Lawyer has responded saying the police are protecting the actor and covering up the evidence and are acting negligently to protect the veteran actor. The lawyer also added that they would file a petition in the Bombay high court about the same. While being asked about the issue, Ms. Dutta expressed that there is no surprise or shock in Nana Patekar getting a clean chit from the police.
At the same time, she has condemned the action of police who are acting along with the interests of the Bollywood actor. She also added that when rape accused Alok Nath is getting a clean chit and continuing his career, there is no surprise about Nana Patekar getting an escape
