Not long ago, Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone brand Black Shark has launched Black Shark 2gaming smartphone in India starting at Rs 39,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage variant. The device was the successor to the earlier launched Black Shark phone, the first gaming phone by Xiaomi. With a couple of months of Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone launch, the company is set to bring the upgraded variant of its gaming smartphone — the Black Shark 2 Pro.
This comes right after the recent launch of Qualcomm’s new upgraded Snapdragon 855+chipset that should perform better than the current 855 SoC — thanks to the clock speeds of up to 2.94GHz and a 15 percent increase in the GPU performance when compared to the predecessor Snapdragon 855 SoC. The newly teased Black Shark 2 Pro is indeed expected to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor.
Black Shark on the Weibo post has confirmed the launch of Black Shark 2 Pro that is set to launch on July 30 in China. This comes right after a week of ASUS ROG Phone 2 launch, which is scheduled to launch on July 23 in China as well. To recall, the earlier launched iteration — the Black Shark 2 has featured a Snapdragon 855 SoC with Adreno 640 GPU — followed by upto 12GB RAM and upto 256GB of onboard storage. The device also came with a six-layer body-we liquid cooling 3.0 for monitoring heat dispersion. It featured (48MP+13MP) dual rear cameras, 20MP selfie shooter, and a decent 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging.
There isn’t any official information regarding the deets about the new Black Shark 2 Pro from the company yet. However, apart from the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, we could expect the aforementioned features of recently launched Black Shark 2 and might probably have a bigger battery, which again is speculation since it is nonetheless the Pro variant of the Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone.
