The dapper Milind Soman began his career in modelling by becoming the model for a clothing manufacturer. He made his acting debut with the Indian Science fiction TV series, where he played the lead role. He then went on to play diverse roles in various movies and television series. He started acting in films from 2000. Milind Soman was also the producer of the Hindi film ‘Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula’. He also acted in films like ‘Bhram’, ‘Say Salaam India’ and ‘Bheja Fry’.
Actor John Abraham has been a model for various advertisements. He started his acting career with the 2003 film ‘Jism’. The film also earned him a Filmfare Best Debut Award nomination. Post the success of ‘Jism’, he went on to do many more movies in Bollywood which proved commercial successes as well. Some of his most popular movies include ‘Dhoom’, ‘Zinda’, ‘Water’, and others. The actor has now turned producer as well.
Apart from being a successful actor Arjun Rampal is also a model, producer, and a television host. The actor was a supermodel. He was voted as Times of India's 'Most Desirable Man' of 2012, beating 49 other men including actors, politicians, and sportsmen. He made his acting debut in the romantic film ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’ which also earned him the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. Also his performance in the movie ‘Rock On!’ fetched him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Randeep Hooda began modelling when he returned to India from Melbourne after completing his studies. He made his acting debut in Mira Nair’s 'Monsoon Wedding' where he played the role of a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) from Australia. After the success of Monsoon Wedding, he acted in Ram Gopal Verma’s 'D' for which he received glowing reviews. He then went onto act in some movies which didn’t become commercial successes. Post this lean phase; he once again started acting in Bollywood movies which proved to be box-office hits.
Actor Sidharth Malhotra started off his modelling career at the age of 18 and he decided to quit the profession due to dissatisfaction. He then went on to pursue a career in the film industry by assisting Karan Johar on the sets of his movie ‘My Name is Khan’. Later the actor made his acting debut with Karan Johar’s film, ‘Student of the Year’. He was nominated for the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance in ‘Student of the Year’. Apart from Student of the Year, he then went on to act in other commercial films as well.
